Can I Simply Copy an ISO File to a USB Drive and Boot?

Sorry for the stupid question. But I don't know how to burn an ISO file to a USB drive. Can I simply copy the ISO file to my USB drive and boot from it? Or should I do it another way? Can someone guide me on this? Thanks in advance!

Simply copying an ISO file to your USB drive doesn't make it bootable. It's not how burning ISO works. If you want to burn the ISO to your USB correctly, you should do it with a professional tool.

The easiest and fastest way to burn an ISO to USB is by using EaseUS Partition Master Professional since it provides both ISO download and burn features.

Windows 11/10/8/7100% Secure

Below is the guide for burning ISO to USB safely with this tool:

Step 1. Launch EaseUS Partition Master and insert your USB into the computer.

Step 2. Go to "Bootable Media" > "Burn ISO."

Step 3. Select the specific edition of Windows and download the ISO on your computer.

Step 4. Then, browse the local ISO file and then select your USB drive.

Step 5. Click "Burn" to begin the process.

This tool offers huge convenience so that you can complete the whole procedure in a few clicks. However, you can also use the Microsoft Windows Media Creation Tool to do the job if you don't like third-party software.

Step 1. Navigate to the Windows download page and download the Windows Media Creation Tool. Also, insert your USB into the computer.

Step 2. Launch the Windows Media Creation Tool and choose "Create installation media for another PC" in the first window.

Step 3. Select language, architecture, edition, and whether to use the recommended options for this PC.

Step 4. Select "USB flash drive," choose your USB disk, and click "Next."

Step 5. Wait for the ISO to be downloaded on the USB drive. Once you receive "Your USB flash drive is ready," the ISO is successfully burned on your USB. Now, the USB drive is bootable.
