How Can I Go Back to Windows 10 from 11?

My laptop kept reminding me to upgrade to Windows 11, and I did so as instructed. However, I don't like this new version and want to go back to Windows 10 again. Having no idea about how to do it. Can anyone assist me?

Microsoft has also considered this issue. When you upgrade to the newest Windows 11 version, there is a feature called "Go back to the previous version of Windows," which allows you to downgrade to the previous Windows 10. However, this feature is only available within 10 days after upgrading. If you exceed the limit, there is no other option except reinstalling Windows manually.

📚Note: You must back up Windows system and important data to prevent unanticipated or unwanted system failure or data loss caused by the Windows 10 downgrade. With a range of sophisticated backup options, you can quickly and affordably create a free copy of any file, partition, or even the entire system with EaseUS Todo Backup Free, an expert backup and recovery tool.

Download it and use the OS backup feature to create a system image of your Windows OS, and then follow the steps to go back to Windows 10 based on your situation.

Case 1. You upgrade to Windows 11 within 10 days.

Use the "roll back" feature to revert to Windows 10 directly.

  • Access Settings > System > Recovery > Go back.
  • You will be asked to explain why you're returning, check any of the options listed and click Next.
  • Click No, thanks when a popup window appears Check for updates, and click Next.
  • Select Go back to earlier build, and your computer will roll back to Windows 10 from Windows 11.

Case 2. You exceed the 10-day time limitation.

If the time has exceeded 10 days, the "roll back" feature won't work, and you can fresh install Windows 10, which can be achieved with the steps:

  • Run the.exe file for Media Creation Tool after downloading it from the official Microsoft website.
  • Click "Accept" if you are prompted to accept its license terms.
  • Choose "Upgrade this PC now" in the first Windows 10 Setup box. Next, select "Next".
  • Once more, click the "Accept" button.
  • To run a clean install, choose "Nothing" from the list of options. Next, select "Next".
  • Click the "Install" button in the Ready to Install window.

This is all about how to go back to Windows 10 from Windows 11. Remember to create a system image to prevent unanticipated data loss caused by the Windows OS downgrade.
