Is There a Way to Clone an External SSD to a Brand New Internal SSD?

I recently got my laptop SSD replaced with a larger SSD and needed the entire system cloned. Is it possible to system clone my external SSD to the current SSD in the laptop, and how would I go about doing that?

Cloning will not limit the form of your drive, be it HDD or SSD. And cloning an external drive to an internal one lets you migrate the backed-up data to your PC. You can also move the system from the external drive to the internal one.

If you want to clone an external SSD to an internal one, you have to pay attention to the following:

  • Ensure the Internal SSD has enough space for the external one.
  • Use professional backup software to create a backup of the crucial data. Because during the cloning process, the data on the target disc will be overwritten or erased.
  • Ensure the target drive has the same format as the source drive.

Then you can use EaseUS Disk Copy to help you clone the external SSD to the internal one.

EaseUS Disk Copy is a practical cloning program for Windows 11/10/8/7. It can let you transfer the C drive to a new SSD and clone your system, disk, partition, etc. And it enables you to migrate your OS from SSD to SSD or HDD to SSD.

You can easily clone your external SSD to an internal one with the help of EaseUS Disk Copy.
