Is There Any Way to Move My Windows 10 from My Faulty Hard Drive to My New One?

The hard drive on my refurbished computer recently died. I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10 when the upgrade was available. I have regularly backed up my data, but not Windows. Can I move Windows 10 from a dead hard drive to a new drive, or do I have to buy a new copy of Windows 10?

Except for cloning your Windows 10 to a new drive, you can also use the Windows Media Creation Tool to make bootable USBs. Download and use the Tool from the Microsoft website. After that, use the USB drive to boot up and adhere to the prompts to install Windows 10 on the newly installed hard drive.

It is important to note that using the Windows Media Creation Tool to clean install Windows 10 on a new hard drive will take a long time because this method has many procedures. Therefore, cloning is your best way, which can help you copy data from one hard drive to another. Since Windows 10 has no native cloning tools, you need to use third-party cloning tools. EaseUS Disk Copy can help you in this regard.

It is an excellent disk cloning utility for Windows computers. It can help you clone a hard drive sector-by-sector, so you can clone a hard drive with a bad sector. In addition, it can help you clone a boot drive to a new SSD and replace a failing hard drive. Most importantly, you can use it to resize your disk partition during the cloning process.

You can move your Windows from a faulty disk to a new one with the help of cloning software like EaseUS Disk Copy to help you clone a hard drive sector-by-sector.
