Need to Delete the Recovery Partition in Windows 8.1, How?
My ASUS X205T Netbook's C: drive is getting low on space (20.9 GB), which cannot be altered. Since the original recovery drive was located on a different partition of the C: drive, I backed it up to a USB drive in order to eventually remove it. I would then have 8 GB more space on the C: drive. How can I do this?

A recovery partition can restore your system to its original factory settings in case of system failures or corruption. Therefore, the Windows system won't allow users to remove the recovery partition.
However, by turning to trusted third-party partition management tools such as EaseUS Partition Master or the Windows command-line utility DiskPart, you can circumvent this obstacle and delete the recovery partition effectively.
Fix 1. EaseUS Partition Master - Easiest
EaseUS Partition Master is the preferred choice for disk partition management, including adding/resizing/moving/deleting partitions on system or data hard drives. Its "Partition Manager" tab can allow you to delete the recovery partition on Windows 8.1 safely.
Before starting, you'd better clone this hard disk and all data in case of an accident.
Step 1. Launch EaseUS Partition Master and start the "Partition Manager" section. Locate and right-click the recovery partition, then click "Delete."
Step 2. When asked, "Do you want to delete the selected partition?" click "Yes" to confirm.
Step 3. In the new window, click "Apply" after selecting "Execute xx Task" to erase the recovery partition.
Fix 2. Command Prompt - Complicated
If you like to challenge high-level operations, Diskpart can help you remove the recovery partition.
Step 1. Start the Run dialogue by pressing "Windows + R." Type diskpart and press "Enter" in the CMD windows.
Step 2. Type the commands here(Ensure to hit "Enter" after each):
- list disk
- select disk # (#: the target disk number)
- list partition
- select partition $ (#: the target partition number)
- delete partition
Step 3. Input exit and press "Enter" to quit Diskpart.
