I have W10 64bit on a new system. The OS is on an SSD drive and an MBR disk, as are the other mechanical drives in the computer. All of the mechanical drives are 2TB. I have been reading that I may be better off changing these to GPT drives. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks.

One size does not fit all. MBR and GPT have their advantages and suit different scenarios. If you use some relatively old Windows OS, especially when your computer is BIOS-based, MBR still works perfectly with your system and hardware. However, if you want a shorter boot time and plan to upgrade to higher Windows versions, such as Windows 11, then GPT will be more aligned with your requirements. In your case, you have a 64-bit Windows 10, one of the newest Windows versions, and considering that you might want to upgrade it to Windows 11 in the future, I advise you to convert MBR to GPT.
To help you convert the disk from MBR to GPT without effort, I will provide you with an all-in-one partition solution - EaseUS Partition Master.
Follow the detailed steps to learn how to use EaseUS Partition Master:
Step 1. Fully back up the important data and partitions in case of unexpected data loss.
Step 2. Launch EaseUS Partition Master on your PC by clicking the download button.
Step 3. Use the "Convert MBR to GPT" function from the "Disk Converter" section, and click "Next."
Step 4. Find the MBR disk you want to change in the options below and hit "Convert" to set up.
In addition to the above features, EaseUS Partition Master can meet your demand in the following case:
Remember to disable the Legacy BIOS boot mode and set up the UEFI mode after successfully changing the disk from MBR to GPT.
